The most common failure mode we see in custom software is the six-month build with a big-bang launch that misses the mark. By the time anyone sees working software, the requirements have drifted and the budget is gone.
Our answer is the thin slice: in week three we ship one end-to-end flow — for Dream Loans, that was application to KYC to decision. It's not the whole product, but it's real software running against a real database, not a slide deck.
This works because working software settles arguments. Stakeholders who disagree on requirements instantly agree once they can click through the actual flow. The feedback loop collapses from months to a weekly demo.
From there we build outward in two-week sprints, demoing every week. By week eight the core system is in production, and the remaining weeks are about hardening, integrations and scale — not discovering what to build.
